BRAY HEAD
 Pumped Hydro Energy Storage

Bray Head is an ideal Site for a Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Lake. The Site has the necessary Head and an endless supply of seawater. The environmental impact is low. The turbine house and other engineering works are concealed from public view at the base of the sea cliffs. The head lake is invisible from most aspects.

Three major intermittent energy wind farms requiring energy storage, are planned near by. It is close to the Energy Grid and markets. Utilizing seawater, dispenses with the need for a lower storage lake. Concept details are provided in the following graphics presentation. This Concept forms part of Ross's Shannon Superhighway Project.
